- Easy Installation: Install your new valve in 7 easy steps 1) Shut off water to faucet valve 2) Remove handle index button or set screw 3) Remove handle screw with a screwdriver, turning counter clockwise 4) Remove retaining nut by turning counter clockwise 5) Pull old cartridge out of valve 6) Grease and insert new cartridge 7) Reinstall retaining nut and handle (General instructions on faucet cartridge replacement, additional steps may be required)
